WHAT?! 'DEAF' GI BEING SENT BACK TO WAR

A New York soldier thought he had done his duty battling America's enemies overseas after losing the hearing in his left ear and injuring a knee.

Huh? I thought if the Armed Forces did not allow any disabled people to fight combat at all?

I am sure he'd fail the medical tests and be sent home.
