The Look

Home Improvement's Episode 7: "The Look" was about Tim buys Pistons' season tickets without consulting Jill. The women on the show gave great acting on how the "wives giving "the look" towards their husbands when they are mad.

This is probably one of my favorite episode of Home Improvement. LOL

I am taping it when it comes on TBS at 12:30 EST. I want to see it again.

Got home late

I took the bus to the library for what I thought to be a meeting but no way home until my wife pick me up. She was going to pick me up after a show that she and her daughter went to see at a local high school. So, I waited by browsing the library, checked out some books and then went to starbucks for coffee and reading.

Due to bad weather (snow), we had to drive slow coming home.

I am going to bed but I will be home early tomorrow from work since its my "shot" day so I will be online.

See you tomorrow.

Jim

I feel stupid

I got here and there's no meeting. The meeting is next week. LOL

Sense of Humor

Okay... here goes.......Spasticity during......

lovemaking is very irritating for someone who has Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Lovemaking and sexuality involves mutual affection, warmth, tenderness, physical touch between two people who are in love. For awhile, I have ignored this issue but lately, I have found ways to handle spasticity. My wife and I have arranged our positions to reduce the chances of me getting spasticity. This took me awhile to say it but I didn't say it directly. Rather, I say it that I perform better in another position when dealing with MS.

One of my best and sexiest part of my body is my mind because I am very creative and always finding ways to making love more fun. I just won't give up and keep trying. When there is a will, there is always a way. When my wife found my books, she was surprised to see the romance books I have and she asked, "Do you actually read romance books?". I said, "Well, let me put it this way, I love sex and I know women love sex and romance books will tell me what women really wants". She said, "No wonder you are so smooth."

Anyway, February is LOVE and I thought we dicuss LOVE as others bloggers with Multiple Sclerosis are discussing this month (see list of bloggers on right that I visit daily).

By the way, I am home from work and not feeling well. So I am resting and probably work alittle at home. Good thing I can do some of my job at home.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Why I am up at 3 and 4 am?

Earlier today, I took my weekly Avonex shot for MS and the side-effects got me in bed early. I woke up with side-affects so I took something for it and waiting to get sleepy which I am now getting there.

Will come back later when I am awake with coffee. :)

Pondering "Humor" when needed....................

PONDER: To weigh mentally; Think deeply about; Consider carefully Webster's New World Dictionary

Everyday, I ponder, contemplate, consider and thinking whatever that affects my daily moods, activities and life. Thinking back, I remember behaving childlike and actually enjoying life by being playfuln and enjoy the simplicity. I desire to have a day-by-day living of feeling carefree. This week, I am having struggles with my depression especially when my wife was asking me me if I was okay since we had not made love for a few weeks now and that she misses it. Last saturday, I was writing about Dealing with Disabilities and Depression because I was feeling it and today, I am still feeling it. I was reading somewhere that depressed mood in people with multiple sclerosis often changes more significantly over time than other stable depression symptoms. I am sure that is true. Sometimes, MS patients have every reason to be depressed when needed to.

I am taking prozac and it is working but what I need to do is to start having more "humor" in my life. I don't think I am doing it enough because experts says that humor is an excellent tool for combating depression. It is often known as a "Humor is a Natural Antidote for Depression". I might start having at least ONE post about "humor" and try to have a good laugh about "life".

I find this site very useful whenever I need humor. I have many bookmarks for humor. This is just one of them. You might like it too. Squiffy's House of Fun - Laughter for Multiple Sclerosis

Enjoy !!

I like this quote: Happiness does not depend on outward things, but on the way we see them. Leo Tolstoy

Often, I am reminded by Christ's definition of Beatitudes (Matthew 5) which really contradicts the world’s definition of happiness. I have had a lifelong struggle with the question of being happy as a Christian.

A.W. Tozer is one of my favorite Christian authors who often reminds me of my relationahip with "life". "If there's anything necessary to your eternal happiness but God, you're not the kind of Christian that you ought to be. For only God is the true rest." Attributes of God,pg.30

Humor

“Laughter is a universal medicine." - Bertrand Russell

"Humor is more important than knowledge." - Albert Einstein
I am always an optimistic person and laughter can cultivate that optimism. Humor can crack through the ice and take the fear away. I often feel blessed just to be alive and enjoying life despite of the problems I am facing. What is the greatest reward of being alive? Just being alive and enjoying life. Humor, no matter when it comes, helps me bear the unbearable. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies when we don't use humor when needed. Research have shown that humor can help us cope better with pain, enhance our immune system, reduce stress, even help us live longer. It's well known that laughter can make us feel better.

I have learned to respond negative insults or comments with humor. Life is too short to turn every personal affront into a battle. One way of coping my life is by enjoying humor and that way, I have learned better understand myself better, others and the world I live in. One day, I was reading one of A.W. Tozer's writings when I saw this quote he wrote: One of the problems most frequently encountered by serious-minded Christians is how to discover the will of God in a given situation. This is not a small matter. Christian legalism is one distortion of the faith that was robbing people of their joy however, on the opposite side of the spectrum was Christian libertinism which takes freedom to an extreme. Humor needs to be balanced. Paul was explaining in one of his letters that “everything may be permissible, but not everything is beneficial". Keeping that balance is always a challenge. If the capacity for fun is God given, and it is a wonderful gift that one can only wonder what tickles God's sense of humor.

I think God has a better view of His version of the " America 's Funniest Videos" of His creatures stumbling to their human nature. When I watch " America 's Funniest Videos" and see some really funny scenes that could have "me" doing them. I could laugh along with them. Then, I thought about God and wondering if He is laughing along with us? He will have some wonderful stories for us when we check into heaven one day when our time is up. After all He can see the end from the beginning so He knows when to laugh with us and when to cry. He knows how often we are preoccupied with the heavy stuff and longs for us to stand back and see the essential joy, the lighter side which is usually there somewhere. In Ecclesiastes 3:4 says "A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance." Its okay to laugh as well as it is okay to cry. I love it when I saw this quote by Martin Luther, "If you are not allowed to laugh in heaven, I don't want to go there”.

I want to remind people that God created us and I don't know why He allows us to fart, burp, experience hic-cups and any other body reactions that we had to deal with. I just think that He wants people to laugh when those things happen around us. That it is not fair that only two people did not have belly buttons and the rest of us have to be reminded with our belly buttons. Did you notice that most people's belly button are different? LOL.
