I was a swimmer and I am still a swimmer.....

I have been been swimming in the water since I was very young and been on many swim teams over the years all the way up to my 30's. I love swimming. I believe swimming is the BEST exercise for people with Multiple Sclerosis. I want to go back to swimming.

Someday, when get my own place, I want to get this: Endless Pools Inc & National Multiple Sclerosis Society Fight Back Against MS GET THIS..... The MS Society's latest partner, Endless Pools, Inc are putting together a plan which is your chance to win an Endless Pool. From now through the end of December 2008. The 8' x 15', temperature controlled Endless Pool can be installed virtually anywhere indoors or out. Now privacy and convenience can be a part of anyone's rehabilitation routine.

I love the thought of an endless pool. I wish I could get over my dislike of swimming and use the pool to get healthy again.
BTW Jim, I so enjoy your blog. You keep inspiring me.
Thanks
David

Oh boy, I would love that. Just before meeting with a neurologist in July 2005, I had just worked up to swimming 1.5 miles in laps 2-3 times each week. And I had logged 150 miles that each. I had a really hard time for quite awhile and haven't gotten back into the pool on a regular basis. With an endless pool, there would be no excuse (but there would also not be any laps to count...hmmmm).

This is great news! I'm going to pass this on to my boss, her husband has MS. I'm not much of a swimmer because that is the only sport that I can get out of breath with quickly. I can run five miles but I can't do a lap around a pool without feeling like my lungs are playing tricks on me.

Great post! :)
