The libertarian, or "classical liberal" perspective is that individual well-being, prosperity, and social harmony are fostered by "as much liberty as possible" and "as little government as necessary."Quote from This Site
For years, Christians have argued that the Founders were devout Christians who meant to create a Christian republic. If you notice, the Constitution makes no direct reference to God. The Philadelphia convention was represented by numerous Christian denominations: Congregationalist, Episcopalian, Dutch Reformed, Presbyterian, Quaker, Lutheran, Roman Catholic, Methodist, and Deist. The First Amendment was designed to prohibit the federal establishment of a national Church or the official preference of a particular Christian sect over all others. If you remember history, The Puritans set expamples of democratic principles before America was born. The Puritan devotion to democratic principles had an important effect on American life. The Puritans were interested in establishing a degree of separation of church and state because they had been persecuted by the English government and wanted to ensure their own freedom of religion in Massachusetts Bay. They also disagreed with the Catholic/Anglican idea that the church should be should be universal, encompassing every member of the community. This implied a division between the institutions of society (government) and the institutions of the church. Christians knows that not everyone is willing to be a Christian. If a person don't want to become a Christian because God gave us that freedom.
Benjamin Franklin once said: “The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself.”
The central insight of libertarianism is in the Declaration of Independence. We have the right to life, liberty and the ability to pursue happiness (though no guarantee of achieving it). Government's only purpose is to help protect those rights — and if it fails, we have the right to alter or abolish it.
Ronald Reagan: "The very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism"
Divisions and separations are most objectionable in religion. They weaken the cause of true Christianity ...But before we blame people for them, we must be careful that we lay the blame where it is deserved. False doctrine and heresy are even worse than schism. If people separate themselves from teaching that is positively false and unscriptural, they ought to be praised rather than reproved. In such cases separation is a virtue and not a sin. J.C. RYLE
People are confused about "human decisions" and "God's decisions". Learning from great faiths in the Bible and Christians I learned through media and local churches, I saw that circumstances did not control them; it is their reaction to circumstances that determined what kind of people they were and most importantly, how faithful they were. They made decisions they felt it is God's will however, circumstances made them change directions. Many people forget and often try to do their own ways circumstances happens that they never stop and think. Their human minds often see doors closing when ignoring another door opening. This is the concept of Romans 8:28-29 "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." Providential of God leads us to what I call "coincidences" in their lives which perhaps God will make sure that His wills will be done at His right time and place. I cannot and will NOT dispute God's word how He manages this world. We can as long as our conscience permits which is why I can identify with Liberatarian Party. Both Democtrats and Republican wants to "control" more. Proverbs 21:1 The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD; He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases.
There is confusion between the determined Will of God and a Christian's responsibility as a Christian. In Isaiah 55:8-9 God says, "My thoughts are completely different from yours, and my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts."
All circumstances are work for heavenly good and called to His purpose. Even though we can not see the purpose for our situations which we are going through, we can trust absolutely that the Lord is in control of all things. Over the years, I have learned that God is NOT not interested in making "cookie-cutter" Christians because we are not all alike. I also have learned that following Jesus Christ regardless my circumstances are full of joy that the Holy Spirit have convicted me that "lack of joy" are resulted by negative thoughts toward others. Scripture clearly reminded me that that God exercises ongoing control of every detail of everything that happens in my life that “He works all things after the council of His own will,” and “that God causes all things to work together for good…” Scripture even reminded me that Christ “Upholding all things by the Word of His power” that “He is before all things and by Him all things consist.” Over the years, I have seen God's interventions that I thought they surely could happened but didn't since God had another plan. Everything that happens in our lives (including trials) somehow fits into the plan of God. Most of the time, God allows evil to happen, other times, God divinely intervene situations when He has a plan that will Glorify Him.
Proverbs 20:24 A man's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?
One of my favorite examples: Corrie ten Boom was schedule to die in Nazi Camp like the rest of family did, but came out of Nazi prison alive due to clerical error through God's divine intervention. Through Corrie ten Boom, God was glorified through Corrie's ministry through many years until the day she died. Her ministry is still alive even though she is no longer with us physically but she is in heaven.
